First trailer for "Philomena" has been dropped on the web, giving fans a look at the touching true story of a mother who tracks down her long-lost son. Judi Dench, best known for her alter-ego M in several "James Bond" movies including the latest one "Skyfall", takes on the title role, with Steve Coogan of "Despicable Me 2" as her partner.

With her strong performance as well as convincing Irish accent she pulls off for the character, it is easy to tell that this film can be an awards-grabbing vehicle for Dench, the ten-time BAFTA winner. That is surely what Coogan, who plays a BBC reporter who helps Dench's character find the son she was forced to give up for adoption, also aims when working on the script alongside Jeff Pope.

"Philomena" is based on the 2009 investigative book by BBC correspondent Martin Sixsmith, "The Lost Child of Philomena Lee". It is directed by Stephen Frears, the man behind such critically-acclaimed movies as "High Fidelity" and "The Queen". Besides acting and writing, Coogan produces along with Gabrielle Tana, Tracey Seaward.

The movie was acquired by The Weinstein Company last May at Cannes Film Festival. It will be screened at the Toronto Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival.

The film is slated to open in the U.K. on November 1, while the U.S. release date is not available yet.
