Kevin Hart is on a big mission in a teaser trailer for Universal Pictures' comedy "Ride Along". The video opens with a sight of him practicing his marriage proposal with the help of his colleague. However, there's one problem he needs to solve first before proposing to his girlfriend: her tough cop brother.
As featured in the sneak-peek video, Ice Cube is introduced as James, an APD detective who gives Hart's character, fast-talking security guard Ben, a disapproving look as he hears Ben begging for his blessing. However, James decides to give his sister's beau a chance to prove his worth by taking him on a 24-hour patrol of Atlanta. The only question left is, can Ben win James' heart?
John Leguizamo, best known for his role as Tybalt in Baz Luhrmann-directed "Romeo + Juliet", is added to the cast ensemble, which also includes Tika Sumpter, Bryan Callen, Jay Pharoah, Bruce McGill and Gary Owen.
"Fantastic Four" helmer Tim Story serves behind the lens for the movie, which will hit U.S. theaters on January 17, 2014. He directs it based on screenplay provided by Greg Coolidge.
Actor and hip-hop singer Cube joins forces with Matt Alvarez, Larry Brezner and Will Packer to produce "Ride Along".
