Demi Lovato dishes on life before rehab for her cover story on Canada's Fashion magazine. The former "Sonny with a Chance" actress says she was a "fake role model" by day and a "wild child" by night before checking into rehab to deal with her demons.
"I learned that ignorance stood in the way of my insight. I wasn't really being honest with the way I used to live," the ex-Disney darling recalls her dark past. "I was pretending to be a role model during the day and turning into a wild child at night."
Demi has been open about her struggle with peer pressure, bulimia and self-harming issues. "I could remember word for word what my bullies said to me… just degrading things that hurt me and affected self-esteem. It affected the way I look at girls my age. I used to fear them," she says.
