Comedienne Rosie O'Donnell was supposed to be at the Paris Theatre in Manhattan on Tuesday night, June 17 to attend the premiere of her friend Madonna's "The MDNA Tour" concert movie, where she was set to join the Material Girl in the Q&A session that was to take place after the special screening. However, a health scare, specifically a "suspicious CAT scan," forced the 51-year-old actress to cancel her appearance at the last minute.

Upon getting the urgent call from her doctors, O'Donnell got herself examined again, after which she was "given a clean bill of health." An insider from O'Donnell's camp emphasized that the stand-up comic would not have missed the star-studded premiere if she did not have a grave concern, saying, "You know it has to be a serious reason to stand up Madonna."

Without O'Donnell by her side, Madonna took the stage alone during the Q&A session, where Bravo TV host Andy Cohen was spotted. A post-premiere party took place afterwards, where celebrities Kelly Osbourne, Zachary Quinto and Adam Lambert were seen enjoying the entertainment.

Madonna and O'Donnell's friendship began in 1992 on the set of their movie "A League of their Own", where they starred alongside Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks and actresses Geena Davis and Lori Petty as members of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Madonna has even stood up for O'Donnel during the comedienne's ugly word war with business magnate Donald Trump sometime in 2007.
