Grammy Award-winning musician Meat Loaf has been forced to postpone his Nottingham, England concert Sunday night, April 14, just hours before he was set to take the stage. The 65-year-old rocker cited medical reasons as the cause for calling off the performance, the fifth show that he has canceled in eight concert dates he is scheduled to play in the U.K.

"We are very sorry to announce that tonight's performance has had to be postponed due to medical reasons afflicting several members of the band," a statement posted Sunday on Meat Loaf's Facebook page read. "Meat and everyone in the band and crew send love and apologies and thanks you for understanding."

Meat Loaf's current medical issue is the latest in a series of ailments that have plagued the health of the rock legend in recent years. He collapsed onstage back in 2011 purportedly due to asthma and last year, he underwent knee replacement surgery with the other knee due to be operated on in the near future.

The "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" singer's Nottingham concert, which is part of the Europe leg of his "Last At Bat" farewell tour, has been rescheduled for May 20, making it the final date in the tour. There's no word yet as to whether he would be ready for his April 17 tour stop in Manchester but fans are hoping he would be up and about for the remaining U.K. shows in Sheffield and Cardiff before he treks to Wales, Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland.
