Words are, 'Breaking Bad' creator Vince Gilligan conceives the potential new series centering on Bob Odenkirk's character, but there are no deals in place just yet.

As "Breaking Bad" is nearing its end, AMC is reportedly mulling a spin-off. Series creator Vince Gilligan and writer-producer Peter Gould are said working on the potential new show, which will revolve around Bob Odenkirk's shady criminal lawyer Saul Goodman.
The project, which is eyed as a comedy, is still in the very early stages with no deals in place. It also has not been determined whether it will be developed with a one-hour or a half-hour format.
Gilligan previously shared his idea of a spin-off featuring Saul when met at this year's WGA Awards. "In my mind's eye, I would like to see a Saul Goodman spin-off. I would love that. So maybe we'll try to get that going," he said at the time.
"Breaking Bad" itself is expected to return with the last eight episodes of the final season this summer. AMC hasn't announced a premiere date.
