A Los Angeles student has recently made a sensational move in his search for a prom date. Jake Davidson uploaded a now-viral YouTube video to ask model and actress Kate Upton to be his date to his senior prom on May 23.

In the video he posted on March 16, Davidson humorously entices the "Tower Heist" star to accept his proposal. "I'm Jewish, 5'9" on a really good day - and I can't dance. At all," he says. "You're Christian, 5'10", and that 'Cat Daddy' video should have won an Oscar for best short film. You could say this is destiny."

In the next scene, Davidson in his workout clothes reveals that he reads Sports Illustrated, the magazine that has brought the 20-year-old model to fame. "I'm going to be real with you here, I don't have a girlfriend," Davidson confesses while showering. "Kate, great moments are born from great opportunity. And that, is what you have here today. A chance to make a nice guy's senior year the best ever."

The L.A. resident, now wearing a nice suit, continues, "Kate, we can ride around all night long - 'till 11, that's my curfew. But really, it would mean the world to me if you came and I would do anything to make sure you get here."

At the end of the video, Davidson gets down on one knee with red roses in hand and asks, "So Kate, will you go to prom with me?" followed by "Kate prom?" written in the sky.

Davidson also attempted to ask Upton to be his prom date on Twitter. "Kate Upton, you are the most beautiful woman in the world!" he wrote. "Please do me the great honor of going to prom with me!"

The blonde model finally responded to Davidson's invitation on the micro-blogging site Tuesday evening, March 19. "you can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I'll check my schedule ;)," she tweeted to the high school student.
