Black Sabbath announce what they call their new album and when they are going to release it. On January 13, the Ozzy Osbourne-fronted band reveal that "13" will be the title of the upcoming CD. They will release it in June this year.

The original members, Ozzy (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar) and Geezer Butler (bass), recorded the album primarily in Los Angeles. They were joined at the sessions by drummer Brad Wilk (Rage Against the Machine) and worked with Grammy-winning producer Rick Rubin.

The last Black Sabbath album was actually released in 1995 through "Forbidden", but the original members last dropped an album together dated back in 1978 with "Never Say Die!". The comeback effort will also mark their return to their original label, Vertigo.

Ahead of the album's release, Ozzy and co. will head to New Zealand, Australia and Japan for live performances.

The original members of the band announced their reunion in November 2011 for an intended 2012 studio release. The project was later postponed after Tony was diagnosed with early stages of lymphoma, which is a type of cancer involving cells of the immune system.
