Yet another prestigious prize-giving event announces its nominees for its latest edition. On Monday, December 3, the International Press Academy reveals the nominations for the 17th annual Satellite Awards in both movie and TV categories. In film field, "Argo", "Les Miserables", "Skyfall", "Silver Linings Playbook", "Zero Dark Thirty (2012)", "The Master" and "Life of Pi" are among the acclaimed titles racing for the coveted Best Motion Picture award.

Vying for Best Actress title are the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Emilie Dequenne,Keira Knightley, Emmanuelle Riva, Laura Birn, Laura Linney and Jessica Chastain. In the Best Actor category, meanwhile, John Hawkes, Omar Sy, Hugh Jackman, Joaquin Phoenix, Denzel Washington, Daniel Day-Lewis and Bradley Cooper are set to compete against one another.

This year's Satellite Awards cover a total of 31 film and TV categories.
