James Bond is doubting his young Quartermaster in a new clip for "Skyfall". The sneak-peek video highlights 007's awkward first encounter with Q at what appears to be an art exhibition. Q interprets an artistic painting in a complicated way, but Bond simply describes it as "a bloody picture."

As Bond aims to leave, the young genius calls the MI6 agent by his code name and tells the spy that he's the new Quartermaster. At first, 007 seems reluctant to trust Q because the guy looks very young. Bond scoffs, "You still have spots," but Q replies, "Age is no guarantee of efficiency."

Ben Whishaw, who is 31 years old, is the first Q depicter who is younger than Bond himself in the history of the 007 film franchise. In the Ian Fleming novels, Q is described as the head of Q Division, a research and development branch of the British Secret Service.

The character was last seen in 2002's "Die Another Day" and was portrayed by John Cleese. The actor took over the role from veteran thesp Desmond Llewelyn, who played Q for the previous 36 years.

Whishaw joins Daniel Craig as the fan-favorite spy in the twenty-third James Bond movie. Also lining up in the cast ensemble are Javier Bardem as Silva, Judi Dench as M, Naomie Harris as Eve, Berenice Marlohe as Severine, and Ralph Fiennes as Mallory.

"Skyfall" will arrive in theaters across the U.S. on November 9.
