Mayim Bialik's left hand won't fully function for a while. The Amy Farrah Fowler of "The Big Bang Theory" injured her hand when her white Volvo was hit by another car occupied by three tourists from Chile on midday Wednesday, August 15. She was driving at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and La Brea.

Rumor suggested she suffered "a severe injury to her left thumb," but she assured that she wouldn't lose her fingers. She gave update on her condition by dictating a tweet to her husband, Michael Stone, "In pain but will keep all my fingers. If u wanna See pre accident me watch The Soup tonight lol #joelmchale @thesoup."

According to New York Daily News, Bialik was on her way to celebrate her youngest son's birthday in a family lunch after finishing a table reading for "Big Bang Theory". She was taken to Cedar Sinai Hospital to treat her injuries. LAPD Sgt. Monte Houze told PEOPLE, "From what I was told, there was a lot of blood at the scene."

A picture taken by TMZ from the scene showed that the front bumper of the Volvo Bialik drove was badly damaged. The condition of the other car was unknown, but the tourists reportedly were neither cited nor detained.
