Vanessa Minnillo is over the moon as she has her dream come true. The "Wipeout" host, who tweeted last March that she "always wanted a boy first," recently revealed that she and her singer husband Nick Lachey were indeed expecting a son.

The mom-to-be revealed the sex of her first child with the boybander just hours after he announced 98 Degrees' reunion. "It's a BOY. Nick and I are incredibly excited to share the news that we are expecting a baby boy," she announced on her website Wednesday, June 20. "We can't wait to meet him soon!!!"

Two days prior, she asked her fans suggestions for a baby shower. She posted on her Facebook, "Nick and I love going through these life experiences together, and we are thinking of doing a Jack & Jill baby shower. I think it will be AMAZING! Share your ideas!"

The 31-year-old TV personality also asked help for the baby's name. "I thought it might be fun to start throwing around some baby name ideas ... what are your favorites?" so she wrote.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo were engaged in November 2010 after dating on and off for about four years. They tied the knot in a tropical island ceremony on July 15, 2011. It was the second marriage for Lachey, but first for Minnillo. Lachey was previously married to Jessica Simpson.

Although Minnillo preferred to have a son as her first child, she and Lachey just wanted "a healthy baby." It didn't matter if it's a boy or a girl, "I'm excited either way!" she gushed. She recently showed off her baby bump in a picture which saw her sitting in a pool against the backdrop of a sunset.

"Hey everyone! Thanks for ur sweet tweets! It means a lot. Now, let's get thru #HumpDay! I'm gonna sweat it out. Get this baby movin!" she also wrote. "To my husband, @NickSLachey, I adore u & cant wait to watch u be a 'Father'. We're lucky to have you! We Love You SO MUCH!"
