Words are, the 'Borat' actor has been told to take 'some time out' after having a vocal problem that hinders him from shooting the musical film which requires all of its actors to sing live.

Sacha Baron Cohen can't shoot a musical film when he's losing his voice. It has been reported that the General Aladeen of "The Dictator" must delay his filming schedule for "Les Miserables" to give him time to rest his vocal cords.
The upcoming movie requires all the actors involved in it to sing their musical numbers live. It was said that director Tom Hooper would only accept the take if everything is perfect. Therefore, some scenes involving Baron Cohen have been placed on the back burner until the British funnyman has recovered.
An insider revealed to The Sun, "Sacha is taking some time out." The source explained further, "It's a real shame because the new shooting dates have resulted some singers becoming unavailable as they have prior engagements which have to be fulfilled first."
In "Les Miserables", the "Borat" actor is set to portray Monsieur Thenardier. The character is described as the father of Eponine and Azelma. Along with his wife, who will be played by Helena Bonham Carter, he spoils and pampers them as children, before they leave them on the streets.
Written by William Nicholson, the Broadway-adapted movie centers on the struggle by ex-con Valjean to outrun his past and his relentless pursuer Javert. The original play was opened in London back in 1985. It featured popular songs like "I Dreamed a Dream" and "Bring Him Home".
Also lining up in the cast ensemble are the likes of Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Aaron Tveit, George Blagden and Samantha Barks. The movie is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on December 7, 2012, just in time for next year's Oscar race.
