It was not because of Whitney Houston that Ray J ended up at a hospital near Las Vegas on Monday, May 21. A representative for the R & B singer told E! News that he was treated for exhaustion and jet lag at the unspecified hospital.
It was alleged that stress contributed to Ray J's hospitalization because he had altercation with Houston's family during Sunday's 2012 Billboard Music Awards. Houston's sister-in-law Pat reportedly called security on him when he was seated next to Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina. Ray J was reportedly extremely upset about the confrontation and on Monday morning was found in his hotel room "out of it" and could not get out of bed.
However, a family insider told TMZ that Ray J actually patched things up with the family in time for the awards show. And the truth was Ray J had been around the world that weekend. He had just returned to U.S. after "quick 32-hour round trip from China" before driving four hours to Las Vegas and launching party for a hair serum product he is endorsing at the Rio Hotel & Casino later that evening.
