The 'Thor' star reveals that his character in 'Snow White and the Huntsman' could possibly get a spin-off treatment if 'there's an audience for it and people wanna see it.'

While "Snow White and the Huntsman" won't open in the U.S. theaters until early June, lead actor Chris Hemsworth already spilled the beans on a potential spin-off movie for his character. Speaking to Collider, the actor dished that there's a possibility to make a film that focuses on Huntsman if the audience want it.

"Yeah, sure, if there's an audience for it and people wanna see it and there's a great script and room to do something different with it, absolutely," Hemsworth said of the possible second movie. "I've heard probably the same rumors you have about possible sequels to this or prequels as far as the Huntsman's storyline [goes]."

"We're pretty elusive for the most of it; he begins having suffered some of trauma in a whole life before this point, and then at the end it's left open as well. We had endless discussions about 'where does he come from and why does he do this and what's this about?' and it all of a sudden opened up all these ideas about his whole life prior to this," the Australian thesp elaborated further.

On whether the movie would be a spin-off or not, the 28-year-old actor explained, "I said, at one stage, 'Maybe he could sort of spin-off into Cinderella world and the Sleeping Beauty, and he's a Huntsman through the fairy tales,' but that got shot down pretty quick [laughs]."

Hemsworth stars opposite Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron in "Snow White and the Huntsman", which will make its way out in cinemas nationwide on June 1.
