"Saturday Night Live" musical guest, Gotye, was in one of the highlighted sketches. The show's regulars Andy Samberg and Taran Killam played the musician's die hard fans who would go far in showing their love of him.
Andy and Taran introduced themselves inside Goyte's room, but things got creepy when the pair refused to leave. When finally Gotye was able to drive them away, the duo returned from behind him fully naked. They recited the painted bodies in Gotye's music video of "Somebody I Used to Know". Andy said, "We're like you. Get it?" Goyte responded, "It's weird, guys."
For his actual performance, Gotye did not appear au naturel. He brought New Zealand singer Kimbra, who is featured in the recorded version of "Somebody I Used to Know", to assist him in the song. He also played "Eyes Wide Open" as his second set.
