Heidi Klum and Seal are indeed ending their marriage after more than six years together. Shortly after reports that debunked their split rumors surfaced, the supermodel and her soul singer husband issued a joint statement in which they confirmed that they have decided to part ways.

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching we have decided to separate," the now-estranged couple said. "We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart."

"This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition," the two continued on. "We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy."

Klum and Seal tied the knot in May 2005. They have three biological children together; two sons, Henry and Johan, and a daughter, Lou. Seal also adopted Klum's daughter from previous relationship, Leni. The twosome are famous for renewing their wedding vows on every anniversary.

News of the power couple's separation was brought to attention on Saturday, January 21. At the time, it was reported that Klum and Seal are expected to file for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court, and Klum in particular was said to cite "irreconcilable differences" as the cause for the divorce.

Other sources, however, insisted that the two are not yet ready to put an end to their more-than-six-year marriage. One insider told OK! magazine, "Neither wants to walk away from the relationship but they are going through a rough time," while another told PEOPLE, "They've been fighting a lot lately, but they have no plans to announce a split right now."
