A day after she was announced to join VH1's "Single Ladies", Denise Vasi dished on her role. The actress/model, who previously played Randi Hubbard on now-canceled daytime soap "All My Children", hinted that her character named Raquel will bring more complications to the drama series in a different way.

"Raquel is going to come back and stir the pot in a different way and bring some exciting new energy," Vasi said of her businesswoman character, who is also a close friend of LisaRaye McCoy's Keisha. Asked if Raquel is kind of a villain, she stated, "No no she's not at all but the way she's discovering herself will be different than what we've seen before."

Vasi is added to the cast line-up for the sophomore season of the Queen Latifah-executive produced series after Stacey Dash quit the show at the end of the first season. Gushing on the new cast member, Latifah said, "Denise is the perfect addition to the 'Single Ladies' cast. She is bringing a fun, new element to the show."

The first hour-long scripted series on VH1, "Single Ladies" revolves around three friends, Keisha, Raquel and April, and their relationships. The show was debuted in May this year, while the second season is set to begin production in Atlanta in January 2012 for a summer premiere.
