NBC's pilot "Wonder Woman" is shaping up with the addition of Justin Bruening. Formerly known as Mike Traceur in the ambitious but ill-fated "Knight Rider" remake, Justin is to take the role of Steve Trevor aka the primary love interest of Wonder Woman/Diana Price.

In the comic book, Steve is an intelligence officer in the United States Army during World War II whose plane crashed in the isolated homeland of the Amazons. He is nursed back to health by the Amazon princess Diana, who falls in love with him and follows him when he returns to the outside world.

But since this project by David E. Kelly is not highlighting majorly on Diana's Amazon root, there could be a different story of how they met. According to reports, army vet Steve is now working in the Justice Department.

Bruening will star opposite Adrianne Palicki who has been cast as the superheroine. "She's got to be strong, smart, emotionally accessible, and, oh yeah, an Amazon!" Kelley said of the character.
