Walt Disney Pictures has just debuted a new poster for "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" that gives another spotlight to Jack Sparrow. The eccentric pirate looks at the sky in the image, carrying some weapons and a shrunken, gray head with long hair dangles around his waist. The one-sheet, presented in dusty color scheme, also features a skull, some mermaids, and a burning ship on the background.

In the fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past, Angelica, and he's not sure if it's love or if she's a ruthless con artist who's using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne's Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard, Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.

Dubbed an action-packed tale of truth, betrayal, youth and demise, the upcoming film has Johnny Depp reprising his role of Sparrow. Penelope Cruz and Ian McShane, meanwhile, are tapped to portray Angelica and Blackbeard respectively. Directed by Rob Marshall, "On Stranger Tides" can be enjoyed in 3-D when it is released May 20 in the U.S.
