Micky Ward has gotten a happy ending in "The Fighter" but that is not the end of his journey. Now Mark Wahlberg seemingly wants to bring more story from the boxing legend to big screen as he hints at a possible sequel.

"Now we're gonna talk about doing number two," the lead actor/producer told Extra on the red carpet of 83rd Oscar on February 27. "We're gonna do the Ward/Gatti trilogy and make it real," he added, referring to three major fights between Ward and Arturo Gatti.

There is no further detail from the project since nothing has been set on stone. "The Fighter" which was released in December 2010 itself has grossed over $100 million worldwide and was nominated for Best Picture at Academy Awards but lost it to "The King's Speech". It, however, managed to take home Best Supporting Actor and Actress kudos for Christian Bale and Melissa Leo respectively.
