Rooney Mara's extreme physical transformation has become talks of the town since she was spotted on the set of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)". Now, a clearer as well as the first official look at her as Lisbeth Salander has been debuted in the February issue of W magazine which will hit newsstands on January 25.
Dressing as her character, Mara who dyes her hair black is seen baring her chest to show a tattoo of Salander's name around her neck while her hands are red with blood on the cover page. Inside the magazine, she goes racier by smoking and lowering her pants as if she is getting tattooed. Some other pictures which can be seen on W's official site features her with punk hairstyle.
The article reveals that Steven Zaillian's script of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" "departs rather dramatically from the book. [Mikael] Blomkvist is less promiscuous, Salander is more aggressive, and, most notably, the ending - the resolution of the drama - has been completely changed. This may be sacrilege to some, but Zaillian has improved on Larsson - the script's ending is more interesting."
"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo", directed by David Fincher, is currently shooting in Europe. Daniel Craig portrays Mikael Blomkvist with Stellan Skarsgard and Robin Wright Penn taking supporting roles. The movie is set for December 21 U.S. release.
Based on the first book in Stieg Larsson's best-selling "Millenium" series which has been turned into Swedish movie, the upcoming drama thriller revolves around ruthless computer hacker Lisbeth Salander and disgraced financial journalist Blomkvist who are employed to find missing girl Harriet Vanger by her uncle.
