Film Bridge International has released a trailer for "Winnie" which follows Winnie Mandela, the wife of South African leader Nelson Mandela, who is portrayed by Jennifer Hudson. It will capture her life from her meeting with Nelson to how she survived throughout the years when her husband was imprisoned and she was accused of misconduct.

The movie will not focus on the sometimes negative press she received, but on the very powerful love story that kept Winnie and Nelson Mandela together for years. Darrell J. Roodt serves behind the lens for the film which production was kicked off earlier this year in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Robben Island.

Terrence Howard stars opposite Hudson as Nelson Mandela with Elias Koteas and Wendy Crewson landing other roles. The drama is expected to be released sometime in 2011.
