Michelle Williams will channel her inner Marilyn Monroe in "My Week with Marilyn" and the first picture of her as the late superstar has been released. It captures her sporting Monroe's signature blonde curly locks with a plain white background.
The photo is shared by The Weinstein Company on October 8 to mark the beginning of the principal photography for the film in London. The shooting is scheduled to last for seven weeks at Pinewood Studios and on location in and around the city, under the direction of Simon Curtis.
"My Week with Marilyn" will chronicle a week in the life of Marilyn Monroe in which she escapes the shackles of her Hollywood career and embraces British life with Colin Clark as told by Clark in his diary. Also landing roles in the drama are Eddie Redmayne, Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench, Dominic Cooper, Emma Watson and Julia Ormond.
