The Keri Hilson-featuring music video is inspired by a chapter in T.I.'s life which follows him in prison for weapon possession charge.

T.I. brings the story of his life to the small screen by adapting it for "Got Your Back" music video. In this clip, a man is seen facing legal woes and being sent to jail but luckily for him as his girlfriend remains by his side through the ups and downs.
The music video features R&B singer Keri Hilson who also has her vocal on the hook. Moreover, T.I.'s real-life fiancee Tameka Cottle makes a surprise brief appearance at the very end of the video, emerging from behind the Atlanta MC.
"Got Your Back" is expected to appear in T.I.'s first post-prison studio album "King Uncaged" which is due for September 28 U.S. release. "[It's] basically just me showing my appreciation to all the ladies who got they man's back in the world, acknowledging the one who had my back and acknowledging the ones that got they man's back at the same time," he explained about the song to Jamie Foxx.
