Just a day after new "Tron Legacy" trailer leaked online, Walt Disney Pictures has debuted the official version of the snippet. Found by First Showing, the video contains similar scenes to the one previewed during a secret screening on Saturday, February 27.

Beside giving preview to Garrett Hedlund's Sam Flynn who heads to Flynn's Arcade after he gets information from Bruce Boxleitner's Alan Gartner about his missing father, Jeff Bridges' Kevin Flynn, the video also gives a look at some other characters including Olivia Wilde's Quorra. The trailer additionally offers a glimpse of gladiatorial competitions.

"Tron Legacy" centers its story on Sam Flynn who investigates the disappearance of his father Kevin. As he manages to find his father in the world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years, Sam now has to join forces with Kevin and Kevin's loyal confidant on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

Joseph Kosinski directs the film which script is penned by Edward Kitsis, Adam Horowitz and Richard Jefferies. This long-awaited sequel to 1982 "Tron" will be unleashed in theaters across the U.S. on December 17.
