In the next "Ugly Betty", Betty tries to be neighborly by planning a karaoke party in her apartment building, but before the big day, her building is robbed, and it's partly her fault. Marc is distraught since he lost something irreplaceable in the theft. Meanwhile Ignacio refuses to accept Bobby in Hilda's life.

But the biggest bomb in the episode comes from the old rival. Daniel and Wilhelmina are back to being at each other's throats, so Amanda tricks them into attending couples counseling with Dr. Sparks. During the blackout, they are in the same elevator and end up kissing each other.

"Blackout!" will be aired on Wednesday, January 20. Although the show has been moved to Comedy Wednesday, it has not received a stellar rating. ABC however, puts a faith on the show, in the hope that it will gain as it airs.

"That's been a tough one," ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson said at TCA Press Tour earlier this week. "We still love that show. I want to find the right place for it. ...I don't think many people were aware about the move [to Wednesday]. Hopefully we can do better with that. We're hoping Ugly Betty can be part of that Wednesday night line-up. We think a comedy or light drama at 10 - we would like to see grow. There is an opportunity for it."
