While report of Brittany Murphy going to be laid to rest on Christmas Eve has been all over the media, TMZ brings to attention a new story that claims a security team will be in place at the late actress' funeral. The existence of the security team is meant to prevent unexpected guests from crashing the affair.
TMZ cites what it calls as a source close to the situation as revealing that "adequate security" will be provided by Forest Lawn Memorial Park, where Murphy's body will be buried. Nevertheless, it is not yet confirmed on how many officers will be placed in the area.
Brittany Murphy suffered cardiac arrest before she was pronounced dead on December 20. Autopsy has already been completed, but it takes four to six weeks to determine her cause of death, awaiting the results of toxicology, histiological and neurological tests.
Her funeral is planned for December 24 afternoon at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills. It is said the service will be "strictly private."
