Rivers Cuomo, the lead singer of band Weezer, was involved in an accident early Sunday morning, December 6 when his tour bus hit some ice, skidded across the New York State Thruway, struck a guide rail and slid into a ditch. His wife Kyoko Cuomo, and their 2-year-old daughter were also passengers on the crashed bus, but they were okay.
The family and Weezer's assistant, identified as Sarah Kim, were on their way back from Toronto, Ontario for a concert at Boston University's Agganis Arena scheduled for Monday night, December 7, when the collision happened. Cuomo and Kim, both of whom suffered injuries, were rushed to St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, New York.

In the wake of the bus accident, it is confirmed that the rest of Weezer's "Raditude Tour", which is embarked on to support the band's album "Raditude", for this month has been canceled until an indefinite time.
