Steven Tyler finally speaks up his mind regarding rumor suggesting that he wants to leave Aerosmith. "Does it look like I'm leaving Aerosmith?" the vocalist said when asked about the accuracy of the report.

"You know what it is, it's those people who are putting out Joe's [Perry] album," Steven explained when attending 2009 Glamour Women of the Year awards Monday, November 9. "Joe's doing a solo album, so people are paying attention to that."

Rumor that Steven Tyler left Aerosmith came out last week after his bandmate Joe Perry told The Las Vegas Sun on November 6 saying, "Steven quit, as far as I can tell. I don't know anymore than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don't know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don't know."

On the same day Steven busted the rumor, Joe wrote on his Twitter, "Aerosmith is definitely NOT breaking up ... one of the members is doing his own thing and said so in the press. Aerosmith is positively looking for a new singer to work with. You just can't take 40 years of experience and throw it in the bin. [The] band is playing hotter than ever and our songs need to be played live. Don't despair: Aerosmith is not splitting up. Promise that's the last you'll hear from me on the subject 'till we gear up again."

The contradicting statements from Steven and Joe then lead to another speculation that the two musicians have an internal rift. Last month, Joe opened up to Reuters, stating Steven had refused to write a song with him. In another occasion, he said the singer hung up on him.

Actually, this is not the first time Steven was rumored to exit Aerosmith as the vocalist was also said to leave the band back in 2007.
