Apparently one of the reasons behind Alicia Keys' decision to push back her new album "The Element of Freedom" is to give more time for her to finish "Empire State of Mind Part 2". The singer has confirmed that she will return to studio with Jay-Z to record the song's sequel.

One of the singles in Jay-Z's latest effort "The Blueprint 3", the first version of "Empire State of Mind" peaked at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 100.
