A representative for the New York City Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that suicide is still a possible cause in the case until results of further tests are released.

AceShowbiz - Putting the brake into false circulating claim that suicide has been ruled out in the death of celebrity disk jockey DJ AM, a representative for the New York City Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed suicide is still considered as one of the possible causes in the case. "We have ruled nothing in and we have ruled nothing out," spokeswoman Ellen Borakove tells E! News. "Everything is still pending. Nothing has changed."

36-year-old DJ AM was found dead at his New York City apartment on Friday afternoon, August 28, sending shock to some of his celeb friends, including Travis Barker and John Mayer. The Medical Examiner's Office in New York City already completed autopsy performed to determine the cause of his sudden death on Saturday, August 29. Nevertheless, the results were inconclusive, forcing authorities to perform further tests that could take several weeks to complete.

Commenting on the autopsy results, one close friend of the late DJ tells Ted Casablanca of E! News, "[Adam] was not suicidal. The fact it [suicide] is a possibility stuns me. That's not the kind of person he was." However, Ellen assures the medical examiner won't speculate on the cause until results of the tests come out.

In the meantime, it is reported that DJ AM's remains have been released to the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home in New York. A spokesman for the funeral home wouldn't made comment on the claim though, reasoning "Everything is private we're not allowed to give out any information as a courtesy to the family."

And while there has been no word issued by DJ AM's family regarding funeral plans, rumor has it, his body will be interred in Los Angeles, where his mother has been living.
