On Tuesday, August 25, the same day Chris Brown was formally sentenced to five years probation for assaulting Rihanna on February 8, words spread that he was involved in two previous "domestic violence" incidents with the songstress prior to the particular encounter. The claim is made by various media based on probation review released by the court for Brown's sentencing.

In the document, it is revealed Brown first battered Rihanna three months prior to the February incident. The "Umbrella" singer allegedly slapped Brown while they were involved in what was cited as "verbal dispute" while they were staying in Europe. He then, in response, pushed her onto the wall.

The second fight happened just three weeks before the February battery. At that time, Rihanna and Brown "were visiting Barbados and were driving a Range Rover loaned to them" when they had an argument inside the car, leading Brown to get out of the vehicle and break both the driver and front passenger side windows. Fortunately, no one was injured and the incident was not reported to authorities.

Brown's probation review, moreover, also reveals that his February 8 attack on Rihanna was prompted by a text message from his former lover. It is stated in the document, Rihanna "said she became 'enraged' and slammed both of her fists against the dashboard," leading Brown to pull the Lamborghini over and try to force her out, which escalated into a physical fight.

It is the incident that causes Brown being sentenced to five years probation and ordered to complete 180 days community labor to be personally supervised by the chief of police in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia. He is obliged to personally come to court every three months during his probation. The first appearance will be on November 19. He is also ordered not to contact Rihanna for the next five years.
