Even though Brett Ratner gained much success with "X-Men: The Last Stand", the director stated he will not make another adaptation of the Marvel's mutants. "The thing with the 'X-Men' universe is, I feel like I've already done it," he fessed up to MTV News. "Certain things I would go after, and certain things only if the script is great."

Affirming that he is unlikely to be involved in other "X-Men" films, Ratner mentioned the director whom he thinks would be a great candidate to take the helmer position. "I'd love to see [Steven] Spielberg do it," the filmmaker stated. "A Spielberg 'X-Men' movie would be something I'd love to see."

Despite his refusal to return to the franchise, Ratner admitted that he is still interested to watch some of the movies from the sci-fi film franchise, including "X-Men: First Class" and "Magneto". "I heard a rumor that they were going to do a young 'X-Men,' which would be great," he said. "I would love to see a 'Magneto' movie personally, because I love the Holocaust backstory. I'd love to see a 'Storm' movie, too."

Although he is looking forward to watching "First Class" and "Magneto", the helmer is not certain with some other "X-Men" spin-offs though. "Deadpool" is one in particular. About the Ryan Reynolds-led film, he uttered his hesitation, "Deadpool? I don't know. That would depend on the script."

Known as the director of such films as the "Rush Hour" series, Brett Ratner is currently slated to helm "Youngblood". The producer of drama series "Prison Break" was previously considered to direct 2000's "X-Men" and 2006's "Superman Returns", although both of the job eventually went to Bryan Singer.
