Another sneak peek at the forthcoming musical comedy "Bandslam" has made its way out in the form of a brand new clip. Courtesy of MTV, the less-than-a-minute clip is entitled "The Rehearsal" and focuses on the scene wherein a group of high school kids from different cliques is having their first big practice session together as a band.

The snippet misses out one of its leading ladies, the "High School Musical" beauty Vanessa Hudgens, but it displays another major female cast, Alyson Michalka. In the clip, the one part of the Aly & AJ duo takes the mic and shows her singing ability amidst the chaos of the rehearsal. Lead actor Gaelan Connell also joins her in the clip.

"Bandslam" centers its story on a group of misfit high school kids dreaming of winning their school's battle of the bands competition. When gifted singer-songwriter Charlotte Banks asks new kid in town Will Burton to manage her fledgling rock band, she appears to have just one goal in mind: go head-to-head against her egotistical musician ex-boyfriend, Ben, at the biggest event of the year, a battle of the bands. But, their band develops a sound of its own and gets a real shot at success in the contest.

Coming from the studio that brings "Twilight" and its series to the big screen, the musical-romantic comedy is directed and co-penned by Todd Graff. In addition to Alyson Michalka, Vanessa Hudgens and Gaelan Connell, it also stars Lisa Kudrow and Scott Porter. It is expected to hit theaters across the U.S. August 14.
