Mariah Carey's new single called "Obsessed" from her upcoming studio effort "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" finally makes its way out. Along with that, it is announced that the album is set to arrive in U.S. market on August 25. Before the official release date is revealed, Mariah's new album was said to be dropped in mid September.

"Obsessed" comes from the production hands of duo The-Dream and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart. It features the use of today's music trend, Auto-Tune, and is confirmed as the lead single from "Imperfect Angel". Its music video is directed by Brett Ratner and is expected to be premiered sometime soon.

In this song, Mariah reportedly shoots down Eminem. "Why are you so obsessed with me/ Boy I wanna know/ Lying that you're sexing me/ When everybody knows/ It's clear that you're upset with me," so she sings on some of the song's lines.

No comment has been made by both Mariah and Eminem regarding the rumor. But, The-Dream previously has confirmed that the track indeed is directed at someone who the singer/producer didn't disclose.

In related news, a remix version of "Obsessed" has been played on New York's radio station Hot 97. It has Mariah Carey joining forces with Gucci Mane.
