Before Amerie's new single "Why R U" hits radios across America on June 15, a music video for the track is put out on BET on June 8. Directed by Ray Kay, this video mainly focuses on the R&B singer's performance.

"Why R U" is worked on by The Buchanans for Amerie's Def Jam debut album "In Love & War" which is slated to arrive this August. The song has been debuted on her MySpace for free stream since May 11.
