A horror film starring Renee Zellweger, "Case 39" has given a first look into the conflict and the consequences that come with having a client staying at her home. Renee plays a social worker who fights to save a girl from her abusive parents, only to discover that the situation is much more dangerous.

Emily Jenkins thinks she has seen it all until she meets her newest, most mysterious case, troubled 10-year old Lilith Sullivan. Emily's worst fears are confirmed when the parents try to kill Lilith, their only daughter. Emily saves her and decides to take her in herself until the right foster family comes along. Then the real horror begins.

The Paramount film is directed by Christian Alvart, the German director who previously helmed "Antibodies". While the U.K. release has been set for October 2 later this year, the film has not received a U.S. date. Shock Till You Drop meanwhile, reported that although the movie is being delayed, it has gone through a test screening.
