Unlike any other "Harry Potter" adaptations, the last book of the boy wizard's series "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be split into two films and thus, the question of where the split will be made arises. When having a chat with Empire, the film's star Daniel Radcliffe and producer David Heyman finally gave hints on where the split is going to be.
"We've played around with a couple of places and ultimately settled on a place that we think is very exciting, and I think quite bold, in that it's not necessarily where one might expect," Heyman was first to answer. "You want to give a sense of completion, on one hand, but a sense that there's another piece, more to come."
The producer then added, "We tried one and then Steve [Kloves, screenwriter] came up with the idea to try it another way and when we tried that, it felt just right." Chiming in with a more interesting bit, 19-year-old Radcliffe, who has played Harry Potter character since the first movie, shared that the split is "at a very tense cliffhanger".
On the occasion, the two also discussed on the final part of the story. While Heyman talked about using "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" technology, Radcliffe revealed his concern. "I am nervous about that," he said, "because if it's good I'll be really, really pleased; if it's not good and that's what people are left with, that would be awful."
"If it's a choice between having me, Rupert [Grint] and Emma [Watson] looking a bit stupid and it being slightly comical or having other actors play us, I would go for other actors every time," he furthermore explained. "So, we'll see."
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", the seventh and final book of "Harry Potter" series will be made into two movies, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II". "Part I" is due for November 19, 2010 release in both U.S. and U.K., whereas "Part II" has been set for July 15, 2011 release. The two movies will see Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson returning as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
