"Most babies are accidents. Not me. I was engineered. Born to save my sister's life," Anna Fitzgerald says in the opening of "My Sister's Keeper" trailer, sharing to others what her real function in her family. The brand new promotional video for the drama movie then moves on introducing the Fitzgerald's family and the underlying problems faced by them.

Sara and Brian Fitzgerald live an idyllic life with their young son and daughter. But when their family is rocked by heartbreaking news that their daughter Kate suffers from leukemia, they are forced to make a difficult and unorthodox choice by undergoing in vitro fertilization to bring to the world a genetic match for Kate, Anna.

For years the family relies on Anna to prolong Kate's life, putting her under countless surgeries, transfusions, and shots to provide a healthy bone marrow transplant. When Anna turns 13, Kate goes into renal failure and in desperate need of Anna's kidney. Instead of donating her kidney, Anna on the other hand chooses to sue her parents for medical emancipation, setting off a court case that threatens to tear the family apart.

Based on Jodi Picoult's novel of the same title, "My Sister's Keeper" stars Cameron Diaz as Sara, Jason Patric as Brian, Abigail Breslin as Anna, Sofia Vassilieva as Kate and Alec Baldwin as Anna's attorney Campbell Alexander. Serving behind the lens as the film's director is Nick Cassavetes. New Line Cinema will distribute the movie in theaters across the U.S. June 26.
