Responding to rumor that he and his ex-wife Pink have reconciled, Carey Hart confirms that they indeed have been "rebuilding" their relationship. Speaking up about the matter is Carey himself in an interview with People.

"We're rebuilding," Carey opens up. "Sometimes you have to take a couple of steps backwards to move forward." He adds, "We're definitely putting in work [our relationship]."

Though he does not reveal further on how the status of their current rebuilt relationship, Carey sings praises for Pink. "The thing about Pink is she's so dedicated to her fans and putting on amazing live shows," he tells People. "She might not see the record success of a Britney Spears but the girl sells a hell of a lot of albums. She's incredible."

Pink and Carey Hart, the latter is a motocross racer, first met at the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia. She proposed to him in 2005 during one of his pit boarding races in Mammoth Lakes, California. The pair then tied the knot in June the following year.

After being hit with numerous break-up rumors, the couple announced in early February last year that they had split up. They sparked reports of a reconciliation after being caught kissing on New Year's Eve. Since then, they were often spotted together.
