Hoping that Samantha Ronson's split from Lindsay Lohan is for good, family of the DJ reportedly has sought to obtain restraining order against the actress-singer.

Hot on the heels of Lindsay Lohan's confirmation that she has broken up with same-sex lover Samantha Ronson, a new report has just been made public by US Weekly that family of the DJ is seeking restraining order against the actress-singer. Samantha's mother Ann Dexter-Jones and sister Charlotte Ronson reportedly have asked Beverly Hills police how they could obtain a restraining order against Lindsay.
"They were directed to the court to get a restraining order," Beverly Hills Sgt. Nutall tells US Weekly. Though so, Sgt. Nutall won't confirm if the inquiry has something to do with Lindsay. Both Samantha and Lindsay also have not yet given any comment on the report.
In the meantime, it is reported that Samantha Ronson's family hopes the DJ's separation from Lindsay Lohan is permanent. "Sam's family has made her swear that it's really over," a friend of Lindsay and Samantha tells People "They are giving her all the support they can to keep her away from Lindsay." Another source close to Samantha chimes in, "Lindsay is going to try and twist the situation in her favor, but Sam clearly left her, not the other way around."
On Monday, April 6, Lindsay Lohan exclusively confirmed to E! News that her love relationship with Samantha Ronson has ended after dating on and off since May 2008. Giving no clue on the reason that prompted their split, she said "We are taking a brief break so I can focus on myself." Samantha herself has not yet spoken about that matter.
