Mira Sorvino says she and her actor husband Christopher Backus "are overjoyed at the thought of welcoming" their upcoming third child.

A third child is on the way for Mira Sorvino and her husband of four years, actor Christopher Backus. In a statement issued to US Weekly to confirm her third pregnancy, the actress opens up, "We are overjoyed at the thought of welcoming a new addition to the family. With each child, the love in our hearts has expanded beyond what we ever imagined was possible."
Aside from the confirmation, Mira doesn't spill the beans on how months along her pregnancy is. She also doesn't mention if she has found out the sex of her baby. Her due date hasn't been made public too.
Mira Sorvino and Christopher Backus first met at a friend's charades party in August 2003. On June 11 the following year, they got married in a private civil ceremony at a Santa Barbara, California courthouse, and after that had a hilltop ceremony in Capri, Italy.
Their eldest child, a daughter named Mattea Angel, was born on November 3, 2004. Their second one, son Johnny Christopher King, was born on May 29, 2006.
