Idolizing Britney Spears, Dakota Fanning says she was very excited when she met the pop singer for the very first time.

Addressing some professional and personal issues during an interview with Parade Magazine, Dakota Fanning frankly opens up about her experiencing a starstruck with her idol Britney Spears. She, moreover, recounts how she was feeling when meeting the pop superstar for the very first time.
"I remember when I was very little my idol was Britney Spears. I had just come to California and that's just who I wanted to meet. So I was in a store and she walked in and my jaw just fell to the floor," she tells Parade of her first encounter with Britney. "I started like sweating. I could not believe that I was meeting her. She told me that I was very cute. And I lost it - I was so excited."
Dakota Fanning, in the meantime, is having two big screen flicks to be released in the U.S. theaters this week, they are "Push" and "Coraline". Both movies are slated for February 6 release date.
More of Dakota's acting career, she has been offered the role of Jane, the member of a vampire coven residing in Volterra, Italy, known as the Volturi, in the upcoming film "New Moon." As of press time, the former child actress is still in talks for the role.
