In an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine for its December 2008 issue, Jessica Simpson claims her former husband Nick Lachey will always be a part of her life despite their failed marriage. Though so, she does admit that he isn't the one for her that's why she's "marrying the right one" next time.

Jessica and Nick married in October 2002, but divorced in June 2006. They have no children. Following their separation, he then began dating his current girlfriend, MTV VJ Vanessa Minnillo. Jessica, meanwhile, is dating football quarterback Tony Romo after being romantically involved with a number of men.

Speaking about her romance with Tony, Jessica tells Cosmopolitan, "I'd always fall for guys I wanted to save. For the first time, I fell in love with someone who saved me." She, furthermore, says she wouldn't rule out marrying the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, whom she began dating last year. "I think any person who I'm gonna date for longer than six months, I definitely am investing in something long-term. If I get married again, then it will be the last time," Jessica reveals.

The December issue of Cosmopolitan, which features Jessica on its cover, will hit the newsstands next Tuesday, November 11.
