Tiffani-Amber Thiessen Skips Refurbished '90210'
TV

The depicter of the treacherous Valerie Malone in 'Beverly Hills 90210' has eliminated all possibilities to return for a reprisal.

AceShowbiz -

While several of the original cast of the '90s hit "Beverly Hills 90210" happily return to the re-make, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, the depicter of Valerie Malone in the original series, seems reluctant on the offer saying that she's in a "different place right now". The 34-year-old actress has confirmed further that she is not interested in reprising her bad girl role.

Speaking to US Magazine, Thiessen said, "You know, it's not that I don't look back at that show with wonderful, amazing memories, but I've just gone in a different direction for me. But I think it's wonderful." She was previously reported to have preferred having a baby with husband Brady Smith to returning to the series.

Thiessen also took time to comment on the reunion of the original cast, which recently brought Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty to work together again. Doherty had notoriously been known to have internal rift with some of the cast back in the old days. "I think a lot of time has passed, you know," Thiessen said. "I'm sure they had their talks between them, beforehand. I think it's great for them. They look beautiful and I'm sure it will be great."

The refurbished series that put a whole new cast is titled "90210" and will be premiered on The CW tonight (September 2). Beside Jennie and Shannen's characters, other returning characters are owner of the Peach Pit diner Nat Bussichio, student of Beverly High Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez, and mother of Kelly Taylor, Jackie Taylor.
