New report has just surfaced by the hour that Jewel Kilcher has married her longtime boyfriend Ty Murray. The lovebirds, according to People as being informed by her representative, "eloped to the Bahamas and exchanged vows in a private ceremony" on Thursday night, August 7.
Detailing on the wedding ceremony, the representative revealed to the magazine that the singer "wore a traditional wedding gown, while Ty wore his favorite blue jeans, white shirt and cowboy hat." The representative added, "The couple is very happy and look forward to enjoying their honeymoon."
It is not mentioned though on where the newlyweds will spend their honeymoon. Yet, an insider has been quoted by gossip blogger Perez Hilton as saying, Jewel "is thrilled! It was so romantic. She looked beautiful! Her dress is gorgeous. The ring is gorgeous. They can't be happier!"
Jewel and Ty have been together since 1999. Neither of them has ever exposed their romance to public. They reportedly reside in a 2,200-acre ranch in Stephenville, Texas.
And while people obviously recognize Jewel as a singer and songwriter, little is known about Ty except that he's a rodeo champion. He currently stars in the video for her new country single, "I Do."
