NBC is adding Kristen Bell to the cast of "Heroes."

AceShowbiz -

This just in. Kristen Bell is joining NBC's "Heroes" cast.

NBC reportedly has picked the actress, best known for starring in the television show "Veronica Mars," to join the series' second season beginning in October. She reportedly has been billed to play Elle, a character described as a sexy, mysterious young lady who has ties to the supposed death of Peter, H.R.G.'s past and the future of Claire.

"This was not easy to pull off," "Heroes" creator-executive producer Tim Kring said in a statement. "But since we're an ensemble show, with many arcs playing out through the year, we found a way to jump into a small window in (Bell's) schedule."

Apart from her starring role in "Heroes," Bell has had two big screen projects to be released next year, they are "Fanboys" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall".
