Amy Winehouse Hopeful for V Festival
Music

Already scrapping off this week and next week's schedule, Amy Winehouse is still on the bill of London's Virgin Festival.

Amy Winehouse who was admitted to London's University College Hospital on Tuesday (August 7) and discharged a few hours later is now in doubt to continue her V Festival gig in London that is scheduled on August 18-19. The problem is, she was not merely "exhausted".

It is suspected that Winehouse suffered from drug overdose. During the treatment, it was reported that the singer was given a shot of adrenaline and had her stomach pumped.

Her management immediately cancelled performances in Denmark and Norway this week. A rep said after the hospitalization, "Amy was discharged from the hospital ... and has been advised to take complete rest. Scheduled performances in Norway and Denmark this week have been cancelled."

Further four dates in Oslo's Oya Music Festival that started August 9 were also pulled. A post on the festival's site read: "The news of the cancellation came abruptly and surprisingly upon us a little before 1pm. Winehouse's large crew arrived and her backing band had just finished their sound check when we were notified. So far no reason has been stated. We will be back with more news as soon as we have been informed."

The only possible and not yet cancelled gig that Winehouse has now would be V Festival. Her spokesperson stated that the show is still kept in schedule and "Everyone one is wishing her well and hopes to see her at V."
