Coldplay Rooting on Spanish for New Album
Music

Coldplay has been camping in Spain to seek inspiration for their new album, due early 2008.

Coldplay sought refreshment of their sound in Spanish churches. The British band moved from London to Barcelona, performed in front of churches, all to strengthen Hispanic theme for their upcoming album.

A message by the band's insider named Prospekt was posted online. It said: "The sights, sounds and flavors of Latin America and Spain have definitely been infused into this album." However, the band that also visited Chile, Brazil, Argentine and Mexico, will not have "maracas or castanets, but a vibrancy and colorfulness that owes much to the atmospheres of Buenos Aires and Barcelona. The effect is subtle but important."

Working once again with Brian Eno, the band has approximately 25 pieces on the desk waiting to be polished. Those are the come up of long hours producing 'not okay' materials. An insider said, "Brian drew up a list of all 25 pieces of music that have been worked on. We shared out thoughts about each and every track. The meeting was a ruthless dissection of all the work done so far. Very little material got the thumbs up."

The album that neither has a name or a release date is scheduled to arrive early 2008.
